The One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP) is the scientific and strategic advisory group to the Quadripartite organizations – the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) – in their collaboration on One Health.

As part of its second term (April 2024–April 2027), 29 experts from 25 countries have been advancing key deliverables that provide the Quadripartite with guidance on the implementation of the One Health Joint Plan of Action, as well as policy-relevant scientific assessments on the drivers of the emergence and re-emergence of health threats.

In September 2026, OHHLEP published two key outputs: (i) an analysis of the enablers and barriers to implementing the Quadripartite One Health Joint Plan of Action, which identifies systemic factors that enable or hinder the operationalization of One Health; and (ii) a mapping of international governance of One Health, providing a practical guide to the international instruments – treaties, standards and policies – that shape One Health.

This webinar provides an opportunity for the public to hear directly from OHHLEP experts on their key findings from these two areas of work and explore how scientific evidence, enabling conditions and multisectoral collaboration can support effective One Health policies and action. The programme will feature presentations from experts, followed by a panel discussion and an interactive questions and answers session.
